Run the Disperse Markers tool with your point representation layer as the input. Here is an example of my results (using the same voter data I used in the Maplex example in which each voter is represented by a point whose color is based on political party affiliation). Move a place marker. To move a place marker: 1. Select the Edit Overlays tool from the top left menu bar. Click and drag the marker to the intended location. Rotate a place marker. A place marker can be rotated 360 degrees around a point. Rotation is particularly useful for vehicle place markers.

It looks like you are using the 'Grid Maker' tool supplied with MapInfo based on the parameters you specified in your question. https://tasticpowerful.weebly.com/davolink-dv-2020-manual-muscle.html. The extents are simply the minimum and maximum coordinates of the area you want covered by the grid. When you draw the rectangular area for your grid, these values are auto populated based on the rectangle you have drawn. If you want to manually adjust or change that area then you can do so by changing those values. So, let's say you want a grid which covers the area between
0,0
and 10,10
you would set your extents as:North: 10South: 0East: 10West: 0
